Since almost a week, there are protests in the streets of almost every city of Turkey demanding Tayyip (Erdogan, I cannot call him our PM) to resign (It’s not about trees anymore). These protests are starting always peaceful (hundreds even thousands of people get together and yell, that’s it), but police is fiercly attacking the protesters with tear gas, pepper spray, water canons, percussion bombs and since yesterday with paramilitary groups. I apologize in advance for disturbing pictures and videos, but this is what’s going on almost in every city in Turkey right now.
All I ask you to do is to help us to spread the word. Please call your Foreign Minister offices and ask them to call their Turkish colleagues and put some political pressure…. Or call the Turkish embassy in your country and share your concerns for your Turkish friends…. and tell them this is unacceptable… Democracy is not tyranny of 50 something percent!!!!
